Can My Car Arrive in Naples Before I Do?
Yes, and it is often the smarter plan. Trying to synchronize a carrier's arrival with your own is the hardest version of this problem; letting the car arrive first is the easy version.
Call 239-273-4649Who can receive it
Someone has to be physically present to inspect and sign at delivery. That person does not have to be you — a spouse, adult child, neighbor, property manager or concierge can do it if you authorize them in advance and the carrier has their name and phone number.
What the receiver actually does
- Walks the vehicle with the driver and compares it to the pickup condition report.
- Notes any new damage on the bill of lading before signing — this is the step that matters.
- Takes photographs in daylight.
- Accepts the keys and confirms the car is where it should be.
If nobody is available at all
Some Naples households arrange delivery to a storage facility, a dealership or a friend's driveway and collect the car later. That works, but the inspection still has to happen with someone present — an unattended drop leaves you with no record if something is wrong.
