How pricing really works

There is no rate card. Brokers post loads to a national board and carriers accept the ones that pay well enough to justify the stop. Your price is therefore the price at which a truck already heading your direction will take your car. Distance, vehicle size and weight, running condition, equipment type, and date flexibility all move that number — and so does the season.

The Naples season premium is real

October through December, everything runs southbound into Southwest Florida and northbound trucks leave half empty. March through May, it reverses. In the peak weeks — April especially — the same lane can cost 20–35% more than it does in July. Booking three to six weeks ahead is the single most effective way to control what you pay.

Open or enclosed

Open moves nine of ten cars and is cheaper and faster to dispatch. Enclosed runs 40–60% more and is the right call for collector, exotic, low-clearance, freshly restored or genuinely irreplaceable vehicles. If the car currently sits in a Naples driveway, open transport exposes it to nothing new.

Access is the Naples-specific problem

A 75–80 foot carrier cannot enter most Collier County gated communities. Guard gates refuse commercial vehicles, tree canopy is low over older streets, paver cul-de-sacs will not take the weight, and tower garages are out of the question. The workable answer is a staging point minutes away, agreed at dispatch — a plaza, a church lot, a clubhouse, or the community's front entrance.

Timelines you can plan around

Pickup window and transit time are two different things. A standard booking has a minimum four-day pickup window; transit then runs about 400–500 miles per day. Add both together before you book a flight into RSW.

Insurance in one paragraph

The carrier's cargo policy covers the car — typically $250,000 open, $1,000,000 enclosed. The broker's bond is not vehicle coverage. Claims are filed with the carrier. The Bill of Lading decides them.

The prep that matters

Quarter tank of fuel. Wash and photograph the morning of pickup. Toll transponder off, bagged or removed. Personal items 100 lbs maximum, below the window line, uninsured. Remove the garage remote. Disable the alarm. Fold the mirrors.

We arrange transport with licensed carriers on a seasonal spot market. We do not publish route prices, guarantee exact pickup or delivery dates, or claim offices in cities where we have none. Availability and pricing change with direction, season and equipment.
