The standard solution
The carrier stages at an accessible spot nearby and the last mile is driven — either by you meeting the truck, or by the driver taking the car in.
Common staging locations include a wide arterial shoulder, a shopping center lot, the area just outside the guardhouse, or a clubhouse parking lot inside the community.
What to do before the truck arrives
- Call your guardhouse or association and ask what they require for a commercial delivery.
- Ask specifically whether a tractor-trailer can enter, not just whether 'trucks' can.
- Give the dispatcher your sub-neighborhood name, not just the master community.
- Agree the meeting point in advance rather than sorting it out with a driver who is already blocking a lane.
A smaller truck is sometimes the answer
For tight communities, a smaller enclosed rig or a single-car flatbed can often reach a door that a ten-car cannot. It changes the arithmetic, but for a Port Royal or Old Naples address it may be the difference between a door delivery and a gate meet.
