May is the end of the Naples season. Volume drops off through the month, and by June the snowbird lanes are largely finished for the year.

Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine — households returning to places where April can still deliver a hard frost.
Availability improves, then disappears
Early May still carries April's momentum. By late May, Naples northbound volume thins quickly, which can cut both ways: less competition for space, but also fewer trucks working the lane at all.
If you are leaving the car in Naples instead
Plenty of households keep a vehicle here year-round. If that is your plan, the summer months are the calmest time to move it later, and rates behave very differently outside the season.
