How Car Shipping Actually Works
Six steps, described the way they actually happen rather than the way brochures describe them.

We ask about the vehicle, its condition, both addresses and your date flexibility, then price the lane against what carriers are currently accepting on it. A quote that arrives without those questions is a guess.
2. Booking
You pay the broker fee and we post the load with an agreed carrier rate and a pickup window — minimum four days on standard ASAP booking. Rush Dispatch buys the top of the board for $500 where capacity exists.
3. Dispatch
A specific carrier accepts the load. You get the carrier's legal name, MC number, driver contact and the exact carrier balance due at delivery. Before dispatch you have a quote; after dispatch you have a truck.
4. Pickup
The driver calls ahead, usually the day before and again a couple of hours out. You walk the vehicle together, everything existing goes on the Bill of Lading diagram, you photograph the car, the truck, the DOT number and the plate, and you both sign.
5. Transit
Roughly 400–500 miles a day on a loaded car carrier, governed by federal hours-of-service rules rather than optimism. Naples to the Midwest is typically 3–5 days on the road; Naples to the Northeast 2–4; Naples to the West Coast 7–10.
6. Delivery
The driver calls ahead again. You inspect in daylight against your pickup photos, note anything new on the BOL before signing, and pay the carrier's balance in the agreed method. In most Naples communities this happens at an agreed staging point rather than in your driveway.
