What a car carrier actually encounters at Pelican Bay: how the entry works, whether a full-size truck can reach the door, and where deliveries realistically happen in season.

Getting a carrier in — or deciding not to
A manned guardhouse controls entry. The driver must be authorized in advance — guards will not admit an unlisted commercial truck, and they cannot sign for your vehicle.
- Pelican Bay Boulevard itself is wide and handles carriers, but the individual condominium associations inside each set their own delivery rules.
- High-rise buildings have gated garage ramps with posted clearance — no carrier enters; you meet in the tower's arrival loop.
- Most sub-associations want the driver's name and the delivery window called ahead to the gate.
- It is one of the densest snowbird arrival zones in Naples, so late October and April both get busy at the same gates.
Timing a Pelican Bay delivery or pickup
Arriving for the winter
Southbound deliveries into North Naples cluster from October through mid-December, with the pre-Thanksgiving stretch the tightest. If nobody will be at the residence when the truck arrives, arrange an authorized receiver — a neighbor, property manager or home-watch service — and tell the dispatcher who it is by name.
Traffic on US-41 and the surrounding arterials changes materially between December and April. A driver who could make three Naples stops in a morning in September makes two in February.
Leaving in the spring
April is the heaviest northbound month, and communities like Pelican Bay see repeated carrier visits in the same weeks. Book in February, offer a three-day window, and start the car about a week before pickup so a flat battery doesn't turn a running vehicle into an inoperable one.
If your household is shipping two vehicles, putting them on one load is easier for everyone — one gate authorization, one arrival, one inspection.
